Before planning a visit to true shot chihuahuas, please consider a few safety factors, both for our sake and yours. Live dogs can bite! Small children often upset new mothers with their quick movements, new sights and sounds can upset children and chihuahuas alike and cause accidents. New mothers are often more easily provoked than they normally might be, etc etc. That said, please think before bringing your unruly 5 year old into my home. I take my dogs very seriously, and if I see a potential problem arising, you and your child may be asked to leave. I do not wish any dog here, whether puppies I intend to sell or my adults, to ever have any negative encounters with children or strangers that could have been avoided. In order to reduce the likelihood of this, I am ever vigilant for people who play too rough for a 4lb dog. Please do not be offended if I feel your child cannot play with the dogs, puppies, etc., even if you are coming to consider purchasing one for your family. If I feel it may become a dangerous situation for the dog, I will not hesitate to recommend a more sturdy breed to you. Chihuahuas are

not for everyone. An adorable, rowdy, rough and tumble 1lb. puppy, will turn into a timid, fearful, shy adult if subjected to constant mishandling or torture at the hands of an unassuming child. Accidents can occur quickly and broken bones and even fatalities are not rare. Any child under the age of 15 must be seated when handling any puppy at True Shot, as I feel its much easier to avoid any accidents and the trauma that accompanies them. I do, however, love to have visitors out to meet the dogs and puppies, so feel free to contact us to schedule a visit. We look forward to a safe and happy experience for all involved.
