March 10 and 11th we traveled to Columbia, MO to compete against some great competition. It wasn't our weekend though, Mojito took Res. WD and Gretel took Res. WB on Saturday... Sunday though, Mojito took 2nd of 3 in open class and Gretel took her class (of 1) but no farther. No worries though, next weekend is a new dog show! :D We had a great time, and good to see everyone! See you again soon :D

Well did we have an amazing weekend in Chicago! Saturday Mojito took Res. WD and the Amateur Owner/Handler BOB. Gretel took 1st in the Am. Owner/handler class but no farther. But THEN, Mojito and I competed in the Amateur Owner/Handler groups and was awarded a Group 2!!! Thank you so much to Judge Larry Fitch for this amazing win for Mojito and I extend our heartfelt thanks for this win to Judge Larry Fitch! Mojito and I. Mojito was completely on his game, really showed it off and was such a great joy to be in the ring with. Its always a pleasure to show my little man. His breeder, Laurie Dodge, did an amazing job teaching him to show and love it! On Sunday Mojito took BOW for another point toward his American Champion and Gretel took Res. WB :) Such an amazing weekend! If that wasn't enough, the tibetian spaniels I am handling right now, Rudy and Violet, showed beautifully for me! Rudy took BOW and BOS on Sat for another point, and Violet was Res. WB. Sunday Rudy took BOB and competed with me in the Non-Sporting Group! Such a lovely weekend, I truly enjoyed seeing all my friends and getting to talk with you and show with you is always such a pleasure. I can't wait to see you all again!
Rudy and I taking a 3 point major at the Indy Cluster Well Feb. 11th and 12th found us at Indianapolis, IN to see Mojito take 3rd of 3 in the open class on Sat and Sun. He showed beautifully though and I am very pleased with how he behaved! Miss Gretel took 1st in 15-18 mo class (of 1) and nothing else on Sat... but on Sun she took Res. WB to the major! SO thrilled with Gretie! Especially since she's in heat and was so not into the show gig last weekend :) In other news, the Tibetian Spaniel I am handling for Mary Hahn, Harmony's Rudy Wakening, took Best of Winners for a 3 point major! Awesome job Rudy! I couldn't be more pleased with this boy. His sister Violet took 1st in 15-18 mos (of 1) but nothing past. She was a well behaved girl though :) I had a fabulous time, the dogs gave me a great effort, and everyone was, as always, a pleasure to be able to spend the day with. Congratulations to all, and hope to see you in Chicago! Well we're off and showing like mad this spring! Look for us at a show near you, because we are getting on it this year :) Jan 28 Mojito and Gretel went with me to earn themselves Res. WD and Res. WB... but Sunday Mojito took Best of Winners for another point toward his American CH! I am so excited, his CH will be the first I have ever earned. We're moving right along toward it! It was great to see everyone this weekend, and lovely to get to spend time with such fun and upbeat people that make the sport so enjoyable for me. Thanks to everyone and congratulations to all the winners! See you in Indy!
My first time getting a major win and Mo's first American Major! :) _ Well it just goes to show you... you never know what's going to happen at the dog show. One weekend we're dead last, next weekend a Major! I showed Mojito and Gretel on 12-4 at the Edwardsville KC show in Belleville, IL. Gretel took 1st in the 9-12 mos puppy class (of 1), and Mr. Mojito, took Best of Winners for a 3 point Major win! Mo was on FIRE! He was busy flirting with the #2 smoothcoat lady in front of him, hehe (thanks Dana!) :) I am THRILLED! First major for him and for me too! I had an absolutely lovely day, was surrounded by friends and everyone I met was lovely to be around. Thank you so much to judge Steve Hayden for not only awarding us this win but for being friendly and courteous. It was truly a great day to be at the dog show :) Thank you to everyone and congratulations! See you in January. This time Mojito and Gretel made the trip with me to Chicago Heights on November 27th to show in the Lake Shore Kennel Club show. Gretel took first in her class (of 1), and Mojito took fifth (of 5) in the open class. Ouch! But, that's show buiz! We still had a great time, enjoyed talking with old friends and meeting several new ones, and as always had a great time in the ring. Congratulations to the winners! We'll see you all next weekend!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! ~Andrea Well Mo and Gretel and I had a busy September! We visited Purina Farms on 9-18 and then back again the following week on 9-25! At Gretel's very first show, EVER, she took home best of winners against some tough competition! I am SO proud of her! She has come so far so fast. Thank you to Mrs. Carolyn Taylor for our girl's first point! Mojito is sadly having trouble holding weight and isn't filled out enough to be competitive in the open class. All these girls in heat around here really get to him! We're changing up his feeding program tho, so we hope to bring him into the ring with a bit more to him very soon :) On 9-25 we didn't bring home any points. Mo taking 3rd of 3 in open class and Gretel with 1st in her puppy class, but no farther. That's alright tho! We still had a lot of fun showing and can't wait for the next show! As always, its so much fun talking with everyone, and I know I very much appreciate all the kindness that has been shown to me as I start out in this field. Thank you to everyone for your help and support! Best wishes and love to you all, and see you at the next show!
~Andrea There is really not enough to be said about this litter. Those two girls are the 3rd generation of a line of CHIC tested merles that are being consistently bred back to gorgeous show quality boys in the hopes of building a very high quality show line of merles. I could not be more shocked or thrilled at these two lovely ladies. They will be growing up here at True Shot to carry on the work that Tina Horth has done to build a beautiful and constant show quality merle line. Samajoto's lil Alegra has done it again... she has a history of producing fabulous puppies again and again! This litter is just outstanding. I'm still very sad that Dexter did not pass his CHIC testing, but this litter is just fantastic. I can't wait to see what they look like at 8 weeks! The little female and darkest sabled male, who look to be the 2 long coats, have very short muzzles and very large apple domes! This litter is going to make someone some beautiful pets! |
