See you all again next weekend!
-Andrea
Had a great weekend in Gray Summit, March 2nd and 3rd! Gretel was awarded Res. WB both days and came back into the ring like she had never left it! Wyatt behaved so well and made us proud as always. I am always thrilled regardless of winning when my dogs are happy, well-mannered, and strut their stuff in the ring. I had such a great time getting to visit with everyone... Congratulations to all the winners!

Well, Friday Feb. 8th started off slow for us. No placements across the board. Saturday things started to pick up, Wyatt winning the bred-by class... his first show out and behaving so very well. I was really proud of how happy and confident he was. His temperament is just like his sire, and is my favorite feature of Mojito. I'm just thrilled that he is passing it along to his get. Then after lunch, my Boston Terrier client, Victory Cosmic Cyber Jive - "Jive", owned by Loretta Walls, was awarded Best of Winners by judge Mrs. Houston (Toddie) Clark for a 3 point major toward his CH title. My sincere thanks to her for Jive's win! That leaves Jive with only singles to finish him out. So proud of how quickly Jive has learned the tricks of the trade and how showy he has become. Sunday, entering in with a good mood from the day before, the day was wonderful. Wyatt was adorable and gave a flawless performance on Sunday. Followed by a romp in the breed ring for my coonhound (We skipped groups there due to a rather ... messy season if you catch me)
much to Rudy's wonderful Breeder/Owner Mary Hahn of Harmony Pups, and huge Congratulations! I absolutely had a great time this year at the Indy Cluster! Loved spending time with my wonderful friends who I don't see nearly enough. Met some lovely new people and had a blast talking with them and learning new things. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me, encouraged me, and supports me along the way. Hats off to you all, can't wait til next time.
Cheers, -Andrea and the True Shot Gang ![]() Thank you to Judge Michael Dachel for this 3 point major win! What a way to end the year in Belleville, IL! December 1st and 2nd found us at the Edwardsville Kennel Club show and boy did we have a great time. Sat. CH Mojito took Select Dog for his first GCH Major. Gretel showed very well and was 1st (of 2) in open. They both showed so very well for me that my day had been made right there by 10am. ![]() Huge appreciation for Judge Robert Frost for such an honor! BUT THEN, the treeing walker coonhound bitch I co-own and handle, Stackem Up's Broadway Mistress "Josie" took her breed (of 1) and went on to WIN THE HOUND GROUP at 7 months old! I am still awestricken, and cannot thank Judge Robert Frost enough for this amazing honor for our girl. The competition in the ring was amazing, and I must say that it was an honor to be in the ring with such respectably high-quality competition. This was a 4 point major win for Josie, as she has not yet completed her CH title. As if that wasn't enough, CH Mojito went select again on Sunday, for another 3 point major toward his GCH. Gretel was awarded Res. WB that day, and Josie again took BOB (she was the only TWC present). Nothing in the hound group that day, but still such a treat to be able to be a team with an amazing coonhound and my very dear friend. Even better was that the Belleville show being close to home, I was able to share this moment with many dear friends and colleagues. My most sincere thank you to everyone who helps me with this dream of mine in so many ways. I hope everyone knows how much I appreciate your help and value your friendship :) Best of luck to all exhibitors far and wide, and remember to treat others as you would like to be treated :) -Andrea and Wyatt (who is helping me type by keeping my lap warm) ![]() Josie and myself in groups - photo by Michelle Steigmeyer Well this year the cluster in Fort Wayne, IN was a real treat for us! We showed several dogs over the weekend and were so pleased with the effort they continue to give us. Our Bred-By boy, True Shot's Why So Blue, "Wyatt" showed for his very first time in the B-Match at 4 months and took a puppy group 4! I am just thrilled with his attitude in the ring! He is an excellent example of the temperament I am striving to produce at True Shot. CH Mojito showed beautifully, and while he did not place he was featured among top ranked specials and rocked the ring :) Miss Gretel was 2nd of 2 in open on Sunday, and we are very proud of her continued efforts to please and always fun loving nature. Pictured is the Treeing Walker Coonhound I co-own with Jessica Rentfro of Wildcard Kennels, Stackem Up's Broadway Mistress "Josie". Josie was BOB each day she showed and gave a fantastic performance in the group ring at just 6 months of age. She was also awarded a puppy group 1 against some great competition! Also congratulations to our handling client, Tibetan Spaniel - Harmony's Rudy Wakening "Rudy" for showing beautifully for us. I had a fabulous time seeing all my wonderful friends and made so many new ones! I can't wait to see you all again soon :) Thank you for making my experience a great one as always! Looking forward to showing you all Wyatt in Spring 2013! Best wishes, and HUGE thanks to Michelle Steigmeyer for the amazing photography of Josie! -Andrea Sunday, Oct. 14th found us all in Nashville, TN for the Tri-Star Kennel Club show. What a great weekend! Our CH Mojito was BOB for his first Grand Champion point! He also showed very well in the toy group. Miss Gretel was WB and BOS to Mojito! So proud of our crew! Handling client Chula's Howlin at the Moon, "Lonnie" was WD as well! Way to go Lonnie! Our treeing walker coonhound, "Josie" was again BOB and again wonderful in the hound group! So proud of everyone this weekend. I really enjoyed this show and met so many great new friends. Thank you so much to everyone for the fantastic time, and congratulations! We look forward to seeing you all next time! -Andrea Well what a fun day! Sunday, Oct. 7th, I had the privilege of showing my handling client, Chula's Howlin at the Moon "Lonnie" to WD. Congratulations Lonnie! This was also a big weekend for me, as it was the very first show for the treeing walker coonhound bitch I co-own "Stackem Ups Broadway Mistress" - Josie, and not only did she take BOB at 6 months and 1 day old, but she showed like a seasoned champ her first time in the hound group! I couldn't be more pleased with this wonderful girl! Look for more on Josie coming soon! Well what a fabulous time in Indiana! I didn't show any of my chihuahuas this weekend, but had a great time with my handling clients! Tibetian Spaniel, Harmony's Rudy Wakening, "Rudy", was Reserve WD. Longcoat chihuahua Chula's Howlin at the Moon "Lonnie" took 2nd of 2 in open, but was a good boy and we had so much fun! It was great seeing everyone, and we're looking forward to Owensboro! See you there :) -Andrea Once again I have managed to have too much fun at the dog show in Lexington, KY! Gretel was WB (of 1), but I cannot say enough for this girl's personality! :) She continues to give her all to try to please and is just too cute! I love how much she loves showing and enjoys playing "Fix" in the ring for me. My handling clients, Tibetian Spaniel - Harmony's Rudy Wakening "Rudy" was WD and is now finished with singles for his Champion title! Congratulations Rudy! We'll get that last major yet boy :) Longcoat chihuahua - Chula's Howlin at the Moon "Lonnie" was also WD! Huge congratulations to all the winners, a big thanks to one of my very best friends, Chris, for accompanying me to the dog show and helping me out. You are so much fun to travel with and make my trip so much easier! As always I had a fantastic time, loved visiting with everyone and seeing your beautiful dogs, and can't wait to see you again in Lebanon, IN! :D Much love as always, -Andrea I had the pleasure of borrowing a friend's RV for the weekend this year at the Muncie, IN show... and learned why I need an RV! :) I had such a great time this weekend, thanks to everyone who made it such a hit! Huge congratulations to my handling clients - Tibetian Spaniel, Harmony's Rudy Wakening "Rudy", for taking BOW on Sunday, and to Longcoat Chihuahua, Chula's Howlin at the Moon "Lonnie", for taking Reserve WD both days! As always it was a pleasure to visit with all my lovely friends and to make new ones. Thanks so much everyone, and congratulations to all the winners! See you again soon! -Andrea For the second year in a row now I have been blessed to be a part of the Crab Orchard Kennel Club show in Marion, IL. I had a blast! I love being behind the scenes, getting a shot at ring stewarding, meeting wonderful new people and getting to spend time with my cherished friends. Its always such a pleasure for me to be anywhere near a dog show that this show always leaves me feeling so lucky to have found something that makes me so happy that I can share with not only wonderful people but also my beloved dogs. Many thanks to everyone who spent so much time organizing and working to make this show such a success, to all the exhibitors who present their dogs in breathtaking form, to the visitors who support us, and to all the dogs who continually give us their 100% day in and day out and ask so little in return. Best wishes to you all, thank you so much for coming to our show! -Andrea |
