So excited to announce that our Hope has delivered 3 lovely boys sired by CH Jude! Welcome to True Shot the latest in crosses with the Windsong lines. Keep an eye on that cream boy! Thank you so much to Melanie Bowling of Isa's Chihuahuas for allowing us to use her beautiful boy once again.
There's little I enjoy more than raising new puppies. Watching them grow, personalities emerging, bodies changing as they grow and mature. Awkward stages, beautiful stages... I love watching them learn new things. Explore the world around them. I love teaching them to be bold, to be confident, to embrace life and all the things they will encounter with gusto and that classic saucy chihuahua spark... while remaining steadfast, loyal, trusting, and loving little dogs. I love teaching them to love strangers so that everyone who meets them can't believe its a chihuahua. Folks don't often realize how much planning and carefully executed work goes into producing well rounded, fun-loving future Champions. Its a test for each breeder to do your very best to bring out the best characteristics Mother Nature has to offer you genetically and then work for months to bring out the best in them and encourage the good while teaching manners and rules and boundaries. I love raising puppies. I love learning each one. Finding out who is a natural born show dog. Who is the dear one who would show for you, fight a monster for you, never leave your side. Who is the little brat who is always into everything. And then if it turns out they're not exactly what you need for that next show dog... when its time for them to move on to their new families... The best part of all is finding the perfect match and then experiencing their joy at finding the little one they've been hoping for. The loving companion that will complete their family for the next decade or hopefully two. Its a blessing to hear how wonderful they are. How well-mannered and loving and outgoing and well socialized. How appreciated all the health testing and pedigree research and loving care is and what it now means to them.
I love breeding chihuahuas. And I hope you love these little dogs as much as I do =) I am just so pleased to announce an exciting new addition to our family! Introducing - Clover! Windsong's True Shot of Luck, bred by the wonderful Annette and Annalisa Waldkoetter of Windsong Chihuahuas. Clover brings a wonderful new line to our program, with a long and strong foundation of sound, well-built, correct moving, sturdy dogs loaded with substance, strong level toplines, high tailsets, and so much more. We are ever hoping to bring you another step higher with the quality of puppies produced here at True Shot, and feel the Windsong lines and our existing dogs will compliment each other very well. Look for wider heads, more typey faces, and so much more. Clover has stolen our hearts from day one, and continues to do so. We hope you enjoy watching her journey here as well. Gretel has blessed us with another litter of 3 amazing boys, sired by an amazing outcross stud, owned by a dear friend, Melanie Bowling, of Isa's Chihuahuas. Windsong So What, I'm Still a RockStar at Isa's - "Jude" has given us a very exciting litter! Watch for more updates on these three lovely boys as they grow and mature! Meet Rembrandt, DaVinci, and Michaelangelo! So thrilled to announce we've done it! Mojito and I have gone from the very first dog show I showed at.... braving the ring together in Paducah, KY as he taught me the ropes. To the first dog I put a CH title on... to the first dog I put a GCH title on! I can't thank him enough, or his breeder, Laurie Dodge enough. Or all the friends, family, judges, mentors, teachers, assistants, etc etc etc who have made this journey with us. What a great step for True Shot! Now all our puppies to date have a GCH sire. CH Wyatt, his sister Hope, ... new hopeful Cass... very exciting! A huge thank you again to all of you who've been there for me in so many ways. Big congratulations to all the winners that weekend. See you in Florida!
November 9 and 10th found us traveling west to Springfield, MO. What a great trip it was! CH Mojito was awarded Select Dog on Saturday for another 3 pt GCH Major win with CH Defeat! That marks the last Defeat he needed! Sunday he was Select Dog once again, for another 2 points toward his title. He now only needs 5 singles! I am always so pleased with this little dog, and never imagined I would see him a Grand Champion. I had a great time visiting with wonderful friends, and can't wait to see you all again. Congratulations to all the winners! Hope its warm in Alabama next time! ;)
-Andrea and Almost GCH Mojito Sunday Sept 22nd found us at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, MO. CH Mojito was awarded Select Dog for another Grand Champion defeat! So proud of my little man! Had a wonderful day with friends and enjoyed myself so much. It was great to see everyone! Congrats to all the winners!
Sept. 14 and 15th found CH Mojito and CH Wyatt in Lebanon, IN. Wyatt's first time out as a special! He was already entered, so we moved him up for fun. Both boys showed amazingly both days, but didn't take ribbons most of the weekend. On Sunday, CH Mojito was awarded BOS for another GCH point! There was a lovely entry of very nice dogs, and we had a great time visiting with wonderful friends. Congratulations to all the winners, and can't wait to see you again next time!
-Andrea and the boys :) A first for us here at True Shot! This year at the Lexington, KY cluster a landmark for us occurred. True Shot's Why So Blue "Wyatt" earned his Champion Title! CH Wyatt is our first bred by boy, and earned all his points from the bred-by class. Wyatt was WD both days (there were no bitches) earning him a 3 pt major Sat and a point again on Sunday. We could not be more thrilled! This boy has been a delight from the moment he hit the ground, and faithfully performs and works hard to please. I could not have asked for a better start into our line of bred-by Champions. His sire, CH Mojito, was Select Dog both days. Such a great weekend, and I had a wonderful time visiting with friends and making new ones. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon! -Andrea and CH Wyatt :) |
